Welcome to Cocobumbo!

Located on Daku Island, 9° 47' 30.42", +126° 10' 13.86  just a 20 minute boat ride northeast of General Luna, is Cocobumbo, what we like to think of as our own pirate utopia. So you'll find a subtle pirate attitude mixed with the natural tropical setting to create a perfect relaxed and free atmosphere.

We don't just provide a place to stay. We also offer an experience in both eco-life and learning about how people can live and have the comforts of life "off-the-grid", showing that you don't have to give up comfort to have beautiful surroundings in nature. We utilise wind and solar power. Rain water is collected, stored in tanks, then filtered for use. We provide and serve local organic foods and we recycle where possible.

coco: noun - 1.the coconut palm tree, 2.its fruit; coconut

bumbo: noun - A drink made of rum, sugar, water, and nutmeg.

Bumbo was popular in the Caribbean during the era of piracy, largely because it tasted better than Royal Navy Grog.
